THERAPEUTIC RELAXATION MASSAGE

Therapeutic, calming, and personalized. This therapeutic massage is a great antidote to a full, busy life. Specific in its intent to get the work done, soothing massage techniques are used to improve circulation while promoting a fulfilling sense of relaxation and wellbeing. Most highly requested.

MYOFASCIAL CUPPING

Myofascial Cupping is an amazingly effective therapy which uses negative pressure (rather than tissue compression) to facilitate change in tender or rigid soft tissue release.

The suction of the cups helps to calm the nervous system, while they loosening and lifting connective tissue, breaking up fascial adhesions and increasing blood and lymph flow to skin and muscles. The cups act as an assist to traditional massage techniques while also allowing for the fascia to stretch within multiple planes.

They help to reduce pain, improve your range of motion, decrease inflammation, and increase both circulation and blood flow, Cupping helps to promote muscle healing, boost the immune system, increase relaxation and enhance wellbeing when used in conjunction with other therapies.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial connective tissue weaves through the whole body. It wraps around muscles, organs, and bones, and like other tissue in your body, when the fascia and surrounding connective tissue are tight, posture and range of motion become compromised, and pain is a result.

Techniques are applied with slow moving strokes & long held pressure to help reduce pain and increase range of motion.

CLINICAL/SPORTS MASSAGE

In clinical sessions, the focus is primarily on one or two specific concerns or areas of overuse. Deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, joint mobility work, trigger point therapy, compression, and stretching are utilized as needed to facilitate and support healing. An important ingredient in clinical work is the self-care "homework" that is given after sessions.

Also used for pre and post event muscle maintenance.

MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

The lymphatic system is part of your immune system. It moves fluid through your body, picking up waste, bacteria, and viruses. Your lymph nodes filter out the waste and flush it from your body. An event such as surgery or an injury can cause the fluid to back up in your tissue.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of light and gentle massage the utilizes slow, rhythmic strokes. This encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body, away from a swollen area, and tends to induce a deep relaxed state.

It can reduce swelling and improve circulation throughout the lymphatic system.

PRENATAL MASSAGE

Prenatal and Postnatal Massage relieves many of the common discomforts of being pregnant including backaches, neck pain, leg cramps, sore feet, headaches, and edema (swelling). Massage encourages blood and lymph circulation as well as alleviating sore, tense muscles, and improving sleep and energy, ultimately promoting overall wellness.

Clients must be 13 weeks or later to book a session.

ASHIATSU BAREFOOT MASSAGE

In the Japenese language, “Ashi” translates to foot and “Atsu” into pressure. Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing their feet and body weight. The therapist does not “walk” on you. Instead they place one foot on the table, and use the other foot to compress and glide over the tissue.

Parallel bars are used above the massage table for balance, support, and client and therapist safety. If you are in need of deep tissue work, but don’t enjoy the discomfort that comes with pointy elbows and thumbs, then Ashiatsu might be the treatment you’re looking for.

Ashiatsu massage doesn’t always have to be a deep tissue treatment! For those who are looking for a relaxing experience to release tension, we also offer Swedish-style Ashiatsu sessions. No matter which style you choose, the level of pressure is always dependent on the client’s needs and feedback. The depth of pressure is carefully regulated by the practitioner’s use of the overhead bars.
